Galen Myotherapists work according a set of guiding principles called Positive Pact. We value a dog's right to choose to engage with treatment and place this at the core of what we do. As such, your dog will never be restrained during treatment, and is free to move around, leave the treatment area and return. Therapists are skilled in observing and understanding canine communication and behaviour, and great emphasis is placed on the agency of the dog and building a relationship of trust. All treatments take place on the floor or on a low level where your dog is most comfortable.

"You have fixed my spaniel too much...he's gone loco pheasanting on our walks. I haven't seen that for a while! He has morphed back into the feral horror he originally was whenever he scents something interesting...still chilled at home though thank god!"
"My Belgian Malinois is loving it! He's very comfortable with Sophie. When she comes he drops onto the mat before she even starts; he loves it. Sophie puts him at ease, she's very good with him. She's easy to talk to about what he needs. I've found a massive difference in his leg from when she started till now, he's not limping as much as he was and he's a lot happier. She's very good."
"After an incident chasing a seagull, I called on Sophie to come and look at my Holly. Sophie works with the dog at the dog's pace. She is very in tune with how the dog is reacting to treatment. My Holly didn't like the treatment mat so she worked with her where she is comfortable. I can't recommend Sophie highly enough. Her love of dogs and wanting to help them shines through."
"It was beautiful to watch Sophie connect with my somewhat insecure boy. Watching her interact with him, read his body language, knowing when he wasn't comfortable and stop, to her gentle encouragement to carry on. He loves Sophie's visits and although her treatment won't repair his issue, he benefitted from the treatment both mentally and physically. I wish her all the success in the future, I am sure she will help lots of dogs with her gentle ways."
